Heather A. Begley has been an associate with the Law Offices of Jeffrey J. Kroll since the firm’s inception.
Her skill in analyzing complex legal issues has led to many successful outcomes in a variety of high-profile personal injury and wrongful death cases, including aviation and train disasters, automobile and truck crashes, medical malpractice and construction negligence. Ms. Begley was part of the legal team at Clifford Law Offices that won a $38.3 million verdict for a mother whose four-year-old daughter died and two-year-old son was disabled after a tragic automobile and truck pile-up on Interstate 90 near Rockford. In addition, she has been involved in a variety of transportation negligence cases, including several Metra train cases and the 1999 Bourbonnais Amtrak train-truck collision. Jeffrey Kroll and Ms. Begley successfully tried the first case arising out of the July 11, 2006 CTA Blue Line derailment.
In 2005, Ms. Begley was selected by the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association to receive a William J. Harte Amicus Volunteer Award.
Before joining the Law Offices of Jeffrey J. Kroll, Ms. Begley worked at Clifford Law Offices for seven years, two of which were as an attorney. She graduated from DePaul University College of Law and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She grew up in Chicago’s Mt. Greenwood neighborhood, where she attended Mother McAuley High School. Ms. Begley presently resides with her husband and two children in a south suburb.
